Outreach

We assist by identifying the pressing needs of girls and women in our community, ensuring that our interventions are responsive to their specific challenges.

Through a combination of home and school visits, we engage directly with women and girls to understand their specific challenges and requirements, whether it is addressing healthcare issues, family dynamics as well as lack of educational opportunities or financial resources.

By actively engaging on grassroots level, we strive to create programs that are meaningful, impactful, and sustainable. Our outreach efforts aim to empower women and girls to become agents of change within their communities, leading to long-term positive outcomes for everyone.

Our Outreach Programs look as follows:

Workshops

To date, the SASA Foundation has conducted a series of capacity building workshops on a wide variety of topics to more than 14,000 women in the Northern part of Tanzania.

Employer analysis

We visit employers to analyse the structural gender dynamics at play in the company and provide recommendations to improve the working environment for women.

Legal Support

Support women and children who are in crisis through legal support, engage community leaders to take action or provide sanctuary.

Health Days

In many communities, especially in regions with limited financial resources, healthcare infrastructure, and geographical isolation, access to medical professionals can be severely lacking. This lack of access both impedes individuals' ability to make informed healthcare decisions and their possibility of receiving timely and appropriate medical care when needed.

Recognizing the critical need to address this issue, organizations like ours implement initiatives to bridge the gap between communities and healthcare services. One such initiative is the Open Health days where community members have a chance to discuss their health concerns, participate in health screenings and receive basic medical treatment from qualified medical professionals

Overall, regular open days play a crucial role in bridging the gap between communities and healthcare services, ensuring that all individuals have access to the healthcare information and support they need to lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
